Follow the Okanagan River south and it joins the Columbia, continue south to the Yakima Valley. Soft fruit and wine!
An old, dead, Juniper is supported by the branches of a young, healthy one. I first posted this photo here two years ago this month. It seemed very appropriate for the beginning of the Pandemic. I don’t think it has lost its impact on me yet.
We didn’t go too far up the canyon because my creaky knees weren’t being terribly accommodating. Liddy did manage to scramble up a bit higher than me though.
Some years ago, I captured this shot of Liddy trotting across a meadow during one of our lunchtime walks.
In this shot, it was a little later and he had moved across the road putting the forest behind him. I like his pose and while I could probably take out the stick that points to his foreleg, I don’t feel it upsets the composition enough to justify the work. It would also break the PSA nature and wildlife competition rules.
