Not sure where to put a gallery dedicated to my four-footed friend, so I will put it here.
Liddy is an Australian Cattle Dog (ACD) / Australian Shephard mix. These breeds are outstandingly smart herders. Like the Border Collie, they have been bred to do a task with little direction.
Dave has significant hearing loss, especially in the high frequencies. He can’t hear most of the alarms in the kitchen and other places. He has trained Liddy to notify him when the oven, the microware, and other alarms sound. She is constantly learning new ways to help like reminding him to take his medications on time.
A great companion to have along on a trip.

One of the most awesome overlooks on Utah's SR 12 is just above the Escalante river where the road snakes down to cross the river before taking a course north along Calf Creek and Lower Calf Creek.

We didn't go too far up the canyon because my creaky knees weren't being terribly accommodating. Liddy did manage to scramble up a bit higher than me though.

It has been a successful weekend for Liddy as she brings home 3 Qualifying Ribbons in Intermediate Rally to earn a new Title. The same again in Beginner Novice Obedience earning another Title. In the process she also brought home a First Place and 2 Second Place Ribbons. Excellent!
