Liddy and I got up way early last Friday to see if we could catch a glimpse of the comet Neowise. We arrived at Sunrise Point in Mt Rainier National Park about an hour before sunrise only to find that at 6100 feet, sunrise comes even earlier. The comet was obscured by the sun 😒.
OK then. Second Attempt.
Last night we drove up to Sunrise Point yet again. Lovely clear skies that, as a Landscape Photographer, we would normally hate. The comet graced us with its presence at about 10:00 pm, hanging in the sky right where Stellarium said it would be 😍.
This was shot on my Canon 7D Mk2 with my 100-400 lens. All the details are available when you click on the image and open it in the lightbox.
Now that this one is in the bag; we will have to find a location which will present a great foreground.
