Northwest Places

Everywhere is Northwest of Somewhere.
Here are places we think worthy of more than a moment.

Cape Disappointment Lighthouse - The light towers above Wakiki Beach where you can find monster surf pounding the cliffs when conditions are right.

Washington Places

Washington is the state we call home. Living in the small town of Bonney Lake, we are equidistant between Seattle, Tacoma, and Mt Rainier National Park.
Please enjoy these galleries of some of our favorite places.

Columbia Gorge Sunrise - Early morning sun begins to burn off the mist and fog in the gorge.

When I think of Oregon, the first thing that comes to mind is the Columbia Gorge, then the Pacific Coast and Sand Dunes. The deserts of the east are places on my bucket list. They should be on yours.

Tulameen Canyon - At the bottom of Tulameen Canyon, flows the Tulameen River. The abandoned Kettle Valley Railroad follows the river on one bank, while golden cottonwood and aspen trees line the other side.
The old railbed is now a part of the Trans Canada Trail System.

British Columbia

My wife, June, and I became adults and started our married life in North Vancouver, BC. We started our family in Kamloops and lived in Penticton for over 12 years. If I had to choose a favorite, it would probably be British Columbia with the Thompson Okanagan Region coming out on top. The scenery and locations are lovely. The Okanagan Wines hold a candle to no one. A great place to visit and live.

End of the trail - The riverwalk trail along the Virgin River in Zion National Park may come to an end but intrepid hikers can wade upriver under the gaze of The Mystery Mountain.

Utah Places

Utah is an amazing place to visit with a multitude of National Parks and other amazing places to see. Usually considered part of the Southwest, we hope you forgive us for promoting its beauty here.
