This handsome bull elk was foraging in the woods with his harem. They were between the road and Yellowstone Lake conveniently at a pullout, so it was easy to stay in the car and shoot through the open window.
The Mormon Row is collection of homes, barns, and other outbuildings that were built by Mormon settlers to this valley way back when…This is the iconic shot of one of the barns in front of the Teton Mountain Range.
Liddy and I walked in these falls in April of 2021. Not a terribly large waterfall, but a nice short hike.Liddy was kind enough to hold this pose while I squeezed off a frame or two.
This is near the entrance to Cedar Breaks National Monument which would have been a destination on our trip except it would not be open for another month. Something about snow in these higher elevations.
Follow the Okanagan River south and it joins the Columbia, continue south to the Yakima Valley. Soft fruit and wine!
